Plûme in The Enchanted Garden - translated and adapted to French

'Plûme in The Enchanted Garden' - translated and adapted to French - will be presented at the 'Enchanted Garden' exhibition at Art Sanctuary, Station 14, August 26th - September 25th, 2016.

Thanks to my great teacher and friend, Luc Libon, the adventures of Plûme and friends have now been adapted to French; which is certainly absolutely logical, as Plûme came to be and lives in 'Le Jardin Enchanté', situated in the French speaking part of Belgium :)

The Undercurrent

There are moments, in everyday situations, in dreams, and seemingly always unexpected, when all seems to crystallize, come together in timelessness. The present owns both past and future, and memories and longings are the same. Time and space, together with emotions and thoughts, form combinations. and my painting is stimulated by a need to 'translate' the experience and the questions that arise. There is a strong sensation of what I call 'being grounded', i.e. being present in the present; Or falling in love, again, with Life. And with that come paradoxes of beauty and pain.

It is a search for the undercurrent, as the painting both foretells and remembers.'

Living is a constant process of interaction, mentally and physically striving to survive, to die, and to dream. That is the framework, as is language, culture, and heritage. We are born into structures, through and with which we evolve. And everywhere are borders, visible, and invisible, to refer to, stay within, approach, and cross. Edges, as divisions and transitions.
