Buzzard's Farewell
One morning - getting close to Autumn - I encountered a dead buzzard ... on the ground ... it was as if it just landed...perfect.... wings spread out.... no damage .... but the most amazing thing was its' eyes ....closed... and I saw the eyelids... covered in the finest tiny white feathers...
And I wondered ... what do I do?
I stared ... for a long time... and I did nothing.
The next morning I came back to the same spot ... and the buzzard was gone! Disappeared! Not even a feather left!
An then I painted .... 'The Buzzard's Farewell'

Retro-Spektive - 'PILGRIM' - opens June 20th, 2025, at Gjurød gård on Hvaler
This experience is very special to me!
I am back in Norway, making an 'installation'/open atelier/gallery in a big and beautiful barn - accompanied by swallows (so rare to experience these days!)
So, my old 'Art Sanctuary' idea continues .... a place to wonder and ponder ...
making and experiencing art inspired by and in dialogue with Nature.
